The stock is fine hardwood and the blackened barrel is adorned with ornate gold raised relief. This was no common weapon! One of royalty or high social stature would have owned guns of this fine quality. There is an ornate pommel with ivory-like cameo detail and brass fittings at the base of the butt stock.
